How to take a Screenshot of Entire Window

Step1: To bring up the screenshot toolbar Press Command + Shift + 5 on your keyboard. From here, you’ll see buttons to take screenshots, record video, and set advanced options. You will find the controls of taking a screenshot on the left side of the toolbar.

Step2: To take a screenshot of the entire screen, click on the first option ‘Capture Entire Screen’ and then click anywhere on the screen or press Return.

How to Edit and Share your Screenshot 

If you want to quickly markup or share your Screenshot, it’s easy.

Step1: When you take a screenshot it will appear as a thumbnail in the bottom-right corner of your screen. If you leave it there, it will automatically be saved at your desktop by default.

Step2: Click on the thumbnail, so that you will be able to edit it in markup where you can crop the Screenshot, add a magnifying glass or jot down a note. 

Step3: When you are done editing, click Done to save it or click the share button to share it right away without saving it to your device. Just choose how you want to share and follow any on-screen instruction and sent it.

Step1: Again Press Command+Shift+5 and then click Options. Here you will find other useful settings like show mouse pointer and remember last selection, which comes handy when you have to take multiple screenshots of a webpage.

Step2: Click one of the options at the top to choose where you want your Screenshot to save to. Let’s select documents, now click the capture window selected button. Move the camera over the window you want to capture and click your trackpad or mouse to take the Screenshot.

Step1: If you want to take a screenshot of a specific part of your screen Press Command +shift+5 to bring up the screenshot menu again.

Step2: Click the capture selected portion button on your right, and the selection button will appear on your screen.

Step5: Press the Stop button in the Menu bar to stop the recording.

Step6: Control-click, right-click, or two-finger-click on the recording that appears in the bottom-right corner of your screen.

Step7: Use the contextual menu to choose where to save the Screenshot, send it, show it in the Finder, delete it, or mark it up.

Step1: Control-click, right-click, or two-finger-click on the recording that appears in the bottom-right corner of your screen after taking a screenshot or screen recording.

Step3: Click the trim button close to the top-right corner of the Quick Look window.
